We believe that our calling extends beyond the niagara region, Canada and even north America. God has ordained his church to be on mission for him to reach the whole world with the gospel of Jesus!

Over our history, it has been a massive blessing to partner with other like-minded churches to help plant Bible-believing, gospel-centered, Jesus-exalting churches. As God has opened doors around the globe, our people have been committed to doing our part through our missions mandate to PRAY, GIVE, and GO.

As a church family, we are passionate to do whatever it takes to help as many people as possible hear of the saving power of Jesus Christ that they may experience God and be changed forever!

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

Together with Harvest Bible Chapel Muskoka, ON, we are actively praying for and supporting pastor Omar Soto in the Benito Juarez district of Mexico City. Iglesia Vertical CDMX is a Bible-based, gospel-centered, Jesus-exalting church that launched in January 2018. It is our heart to join with them to see God powerfully transform lives for His glory. Born and raised in North America, Armando and Jennifer moved to the Middle East in 2006 to establish a holistic ministry of compassion, evangelism, and discipleship among oppressed migrants. They have five boys, Joshua, Jadon, Jeremy, Joel, and Josiah, and currently lead a team of 33 adults.

The work is situated in one of the major bridge cities from the East to the West. Many of the world’s most vulnerable people, the majority Muslim, travel there as refugees. There, in their moment of greatest vulnerability and openness, they often find their first, best, or only opportunity to hear of Christ. Hundreds have come to faith through the ministry in the past several years from places like Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Western China, & Iran.

Hope Niagara partners with Katalyst in supporting a two-year residential discipleship and education initiative in Hyderabad, India. This Christ-centred program mentors young men and women during a formative stage of life, combining academic support with spiritual formation and leadership development.

Students from economically challenging backgrounds are equipped with biblical foundations, life skills, and a renewed vision for their future. Graduates go on to pursue further education, vocational pathways, and meaningful service within their communities.

Paul and Shelley (with sons, Gabe and Cam) lived in two different countries in South Asia as church planters among Muslims and leadership developers for fifteen years. They enjoy drinking tea and sharing the gospel with those who have little opportunity to learn about Jesus. In 2015, God closed the door to living in Asia for a season by allowing a visa to be rejected.

Paul and Shelley currently serve as Regional Directors for their organization’s people reaching Muslims in Central Asia. In addition, Shelley uses her giftings in administration in their company’s Canadian office (based in St Catharines). Paul helps mobilize young people to go to Central Asia and beyond.

Their family verse is Hebrews 13:20-21, which contains God’s faithful promise that he will equip us with everything good needed to do His will.

Isaac Driedger, a member of Hope Niagara, is currently serving at a refugee camp in Samos, Greece, for a year. His heart is to share the love of Jesus—both in word and in action—and to bring hope to those who are searching.

Isaac is going with Eurorelief, which is a Greek non-profit that exists to serve and show compassion to suffering and displaced people in Greece and the surrounding area.
